Boardwalk Pictures is an award winning multimedia production company that develops and produces content for a variety of partners and distribution platforms.

With a primary focus on creating unscripted, documentary content, Boardwalk has maintained a unique track record of producing premium, beautiful and elevated work.

We tell stories.  We create. We collaborate.

Boardwalk has produced content for most major networks and broadcast partners over the past six years. Additionally, Boardwalk produces short-form promotional campaigns and branded entertainment content for both on-air and web/ interactive clients. Through these smaller scope productions, Boardwalk continues to internally develop and cultivate creative talent for its larger shows.

Andrew Fried President

Andrew Fried is the founder and President of Boardwalk Pictures. Over the past two decades, he has collaborated with some of the most influential tastemakers in sports, music, and entertainment, and his television shows have aired on more than 20 different broadcast, cable, and digital networks including ABC, Netflix, MTV, Sundance Channel, Bravo, PBS, Lifetime, AMC, Oxygen, CNBC, ESPN, Fox Sports One, Spike and A&E among many others.

Most recently, Boardwalk Pictures has been lauded for its Netflix original series, Chef’s Table, which was the winner of the 2015 IDA Documentary Award for Best Episodic Series and is a 3-time 2016 Emmy-Award nominee. Andrew is both a Director and Executive Producer on this series and was awarded the 2016 James Beard Award for Visual and Technical Excellence.

Boardwalk’s others recent credits include the upcoming Netflix series, Fearless, releasing August of 2016, as well as Being: Mike Tyson, The Pecos League, Back of the Shop and Road to the Show (Fox Sports 1), That’s Racist with Mike Epps (AOL) and The Conversation (Lifetime).

Prior to founding Boardwalk Pictures in 2010, Andrew produced a variety of projects for Radical Media including Iconoclasts (Sundance Channel), Britney: for the Record (MTV), Black & White: A Portrait of Sean Combs (MTV) and the Emmy Award-nominated Storymakers (AMC) among many others.  His work around the Broadway Theater includes two documentaries about Tony Award winning Best Musicals – Great Performances: In the Heights (PBS) and RENT: The Final Days on Broadway (Sony Pictures).

He currently lives in Santa Monica with his wife Kristin and their two children Dylan and Brody.

Dane Lillegard Head of Production

Dane Lillegard is Head of Production for Boardwalk Pictures. He oversees the company’s day to day business operations, as well as production for all Boardwalk Pictures projects.

With more than 6 years of experience producing content with the industry’s top network, cable and digital partners, some of Lillegard’s credits include Chef’s Table for Netflix, Being Mike Tyson and Back of the Shop for Fox Sports 1, and The Conversation for Lifetime. In addition, he has managed countless promotional & commercial campaigns for major brand and cable partners.

Prior to joining Boardwalk Pictures, Lillegard worked with top producers to finance, package and produce feature films. He began his career with leading commercial companies MJZ, Smuggler, and HSI, emerging as an innovative and respected leader.
Lillegard is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
